Argentia, NL – 27 Oct 2017. Port of Argentia congratulates Eimskip Canada Managing Director Mr. Jeff Simms and his team on the safe arrival of the BBC Jan and delivery of the Gottwald 6407 model mobile harbour crane previously announced for Argentia.

Board Chair Vivian Smith states, “This new equipment arriving today is the beginning of what we are confident will be a significant expansion in container cargo activity at the Port and we congratulate Eimskip on this initiative”.

In line with its strategic vision to become the premier heavy industrial seaport in Newfoundland & Labrador, the Port is continuing to work with its tenants, port users and other stakeholders to expand cargo handling and vessel service capacity at Argentia.
